In the winter of eighth grade, Alex Watson picked up a guitar and decided to indulge in a new hobby. With teaching from his father, Alex picked up on guitar quickly. Hours upon hours, days upon days, and a number of calluses upon blisters, he developed, somewhat of a talent in playing music. As years progressed, the passion for music became overwhelming. He began writing lyrics and compiling music with them. The heart of his lyrics connects with the everyday person who has ever dealt with, both, the “goods” and “bads” of relationships. As cheesy as that sounds, many of the lines in his songs ring truth in many ways. From just a guitar and a microphone conveying deep and powerful words to a full band sound delivering his genuine feelings and heart-felt emotions.

Ha! Man that sounds dumb! I just read over what I have already written and it sounds like I am trying to promote some kind of television-show premiere for the Bravo or Lifetime channel. Man, I’m such a nerd! Ok, I’ll just give it to you straight. Here we go:

After countless hours and aggravating days of sitting in my apartment in Marietta, Ga, I finally finished this little piece of art I like to call, my CD. If you only knew how many hours of my life have been used on completing this you would get a better understanding of my passion for music. Hopefully, you will take my word for it. It hard to think of a better feeling than exposing my thoughts on paper, then exposing them in a song to you and hearing you say, “Man! I know just what you mean!” I hope so much that my little tunes will connect with you. I would love to hear your thoughts on my sound and any comments or constructive criticism.
